ERDAS Imagine 2016 Student Installation Instructions

 

1.     You will need to download two files to install Imagine, ERDAS-Foundation.zip and imagine-v16.0-win-x64.zip (if you have a 64-bit computer). Please use Winzip to unzip these files. In our example we are extracting the files to the desktop of the computer.

2.     Install the Foundation software first. Open the ERDAS-Foundation folder and double click setup.exe.

3.     Expand the +. Select ERDAS Foundation 2016 and click on Install.

4.     Click on Install.

5.     Intergraph Licensing will install.

6.     You will see the below window. Click on Next.

7.     Agree to the license agreement and click Next.

8.     Click on Next.

10. The installation will begin and will take several minutes.

11. Click on Finish.

12. From the Start Menu open Intergraph License Administration. Under the Server menu select License Host ID.

13. Your Composite ID will be displayed. Keep this window open. You will need it later.

 

 

14. You also need to register to receive a license file on Intergraph’s website, https://hexagongeospatial.force.com/licensingportal/LIC_PublicClaimKey#/index. You can retrieve you license code under your Order History after you login to the WebStore. Click on this order number. You will see the code under the words Installation Key/Code. Enter your code ( click about 2 inches to the right of Activation ID: then you will see a cursor) and click on Verify.

 

 

15. Click on Claim Key.

 

 

16.  Complete the form with your name, email and computer information you obtained in step 14 above and click on Generate License. Your license file will be emailed to you at the email address entered.

 

 

 

17. From the Start Menu in Windows on your computer open Intergraph License Administration. Under the File menu select Import License File.

 

 

18. Browse to the license file you were sent and click on Open. Close the Intergraph License Administration window.

 

 

 

19. Now you can install Imagine. Open the unzipped folder for Imagine 16 and double click setup.exe.

20. Expand the +. Select ERDAS Imagine 2016 (64-bit) and click on Install.

21. You will see a startup screen and a set up screen.

22. Click on Next.

23. Agree to the license agreement and click on Next.

24. Select the features you wish to install and click on Next.

26. The installation will begin and will take several minutes.

29. Select which files you wish to associate with the ERDAS software and click on Close.

30. You may now install the remaining software if you so desire. The process will be similar to the steps above.

 

31. You are now ready to use ERDAS Imagine 2016.
