Endnote X.7 for Macintosh Installation Instructions

1. Double click on the EndNoteX7Installer.dmg file you downloaded from the WebStore.
   
   
   
   
2. The file will open and place a disk image on to your desktop.
   
   
   
   
   
   
3. Copy Endnote X.7 to your Applications folder.
   
   
   
   
4. The folder will copy.
   
   
   
   
5. The first time you start Endnote X.7 you will see the below window briefly.
   
   
   
   
   
6. You will be asked to customize the software. Click on Next.
   
   
   
   
7. Enter your product key and click on Next. This information was provided to you when you purchased the software. You can retrieve this information by logging into the WebStore and clicking on Order History. Find this offer and your list and click on the order number.
   
   
   
   
8. Enter your name and Unviersity of Illinois as your organization.
   
   
   
   
9. Click on Next.
   
   
   
   
10. Accept the license agreement and click on Next.
    
    
    
    
11. Click on Next.
    
    
    
    
12. Enter a login and password for an Administrative account and click on OK.
    
    
    
    
13. Your information will be processed. Click on Done. Registration is not necessary.
    
    
    
    
14. You are now ready to use Endnote X.7 for Macintosh.
